Afiqah admitted to Kyoto U Hospital

Salam,
Afiqah was warded for about one week because of infection. Last Saturday (12/5) we brought her to Kyoto University Hospital because she kept vomiting after eating and even after drinking plain water. Dr. gave her 2 bottles of 200ml IV drip. She was weak but still smile and laugh when we made her. She is strong. Dr. did blood test and found infection (CRP value/ kind of protein specially produced when body is infected), the value was comparatively small 2.1 (normal ppl 0.3). After the IV drip, 1 o'clock past midnight, we went back home. Afiqah was better and less weak. But the next morning, Afiqah had fever, abt 40 degree that didn't reduced even after we put ubat demam through her punggung. Letak air asam jawa kat kaki and kepala, sapu tuala basah kat badan. Papa Afiqah decided to bring her to Hospital again. So, we brought Afiqah to Kyoto University Hospital again. We had to go to the emergency side bcoz all clinics and hospitals are closed during weekends here in Japan. Again Dr. decided to give her IV drip and do blood test. Actually,we were hoping that Dr. give her injection to bring down her fever. After discussing again, we finally agreed with the Dr.s suggestion. Alhamdulillah, we didn't decide to refuse IV drip and blood test. Dr. found from the blood test that her infection was worse from Saturday, the value increase to 12. Dr. said it is high even for an adult. Dr. said she has to be admitted immediately and they need to do further test to find out the cause of the infection. Antibiotic should be injected directly to her blood, ubat makan dah tak berkesan Dr. cakap. After admitted, we have to wait in her ward room (single occupancy), while the drs do further tests. Dr. ckp, mula2 test air kencing, cek ada infection ke tak, kalau takde terpaksa ambik air tulang belakang, takut2 meningitis. Paru2 n perut bersih, tak menunjukkan tanda2 punca infection. Lemahnya badan dengar nak kena ambik air tulang belakang, air mata mmg takleh nak tahan dah, tapi bila fikir utk kebaikan, terpaksala redha. It turned out Dr. had to take her air tulang belakang coz they found no infection pada urine, but test air tulang belakang also shows -ve for infection and other sickness. Alhamdulillah. Tapi kesian anak mama, kecik2 lagi dah merasa macam2 kesakitan.
Sepanjang warded, ina pun warded sekalilah seminggu tu, IV drip 500ml mmgtak berenti bersilih ganti. Nurul tak merengek sangat, dia macam letih n lagipun dapat berkepit dgn mama, baik je... Sesekali batuk dia menangis merengek sikit. Bila nurse2 dtg nk buat rutin cek, dia seronok sgt, siap tegur nak sembang2 dgn nurse. kalau nurse melayan lagila naik sheikh dia. 2 kali, bila nurse dah habih cek n sembang2 dgn dia, nurse nk keluar dia tgk sampai pintu, bila dah keluar dia menangis pulak. Seronok buat kwn dgn nurse kot. Dgn Dr. pun dia rajin tegur, pantang ada org masuk bilik n cek dia, mest nurul nak ajak sembang. Sembang cara diala. Dulu dia boleh buat bunyi,' oooo, aaa, ooaa' je, tapi skrg lidah dah pandai touch lelangit/ belakang gigi atas, so kadang2 dia buat bunyi,' eellee, or lleeee',ada bunyi 'l' pulak. Kadang bunyi 'gh' mcm jawi ghain.

Seblm blk, sempat Afiqah bergambar dgn character Kitty chan yg secara kebetulan giliran melawat paed ward Hospital ni.

Bibik ambik gambar, sampai Afiqah dah bosan posing melonjak2 baru bibik nk tekanbutton camera tu, so inilah gambar nye, tak nampak muka Afiqah. Nk dok lama2 lagi, byk lagi budak2 lain dok tunggu giliran nak ambik gambar.
Oklah, nilah serba sedikit pengalaman Afiqah first time warded sejak keluar NICU lepas lahir.
