Surgery- doctor's clarification

Mama Afiqah cuba dptkan pendpt dari doktor di Msia mengenai surgery yg akan dilakukan pada Afiqah utk membetulkan kembali hip-joint kiri Afiqah yg terkeluar. Di bwh adalah explanation dgn medical terms yang lebih tepat dari 2 doktor utk dikongsi bersama families.

doktor 1) Surgery for dislocated hips are sometimes offered for different reasons - eg to relieve pain, to make perineal care (eg changing nappies) easier or to prevent future complications such as scoliosis (tulang belakang bengkok). Sometimes if the dislocation is not causing problems (especially if it is on both sides) - we leave them alone. Soft tissue surgery (eg tendon release - probably what the surgeons in Kyoto are planning to do) is usually done for milder cases, where as for more difficult cases surgery to the bone is also necessary. The timing of surgery have to take into account several factors, but sometimes earlier surgery can prevent more problems.

doktor 2) Regarding the operation, usually it is done due to the muscle that pulled the femur bone and caused it to be dislocated (spastic). Without the operation, the bone will dislocated again after manual reduction..
